Shangri-La, often used in a context as ‘Garden of Eden’ is a fictional place that was described by James Hamilton, a British author from his novel Lost Horizon. Shangri-La was described as a harmonious valley that was enclosed in the western part of Kunlun Mountains. In the novel the people who inhabit Shangri-La are almost immortal, living hundreds of years and very slowly aging in their appearance.
