Under the king’s watchful eye, Andre imported trees from Spain, Italy and Portugal and ordered statues to be sculpted especially for the king. The final gardens included manicured lawns, parterres of flowers and magnificent fountains. This Gardens of Versailles Floral Necktie is inspired by Louis XIV’s extravagant tastes.
