In the late 17th century somewhere in West Africa, Black Caesar was born, and as legend goes, Black Caesar was a powerful tribal chief with the strength and stature of two men. For many years, Caesar was being slaved when he was tricked by a captain of a slave ship invited him aboard to view treasure and merchantries. How exactly the events happened is not certain but the most common story is that while Caesar was busy admiring the riches, the ship’s crew raised the anchor and started to set off to sea and by the time Caesar realized what was happening it was too late for him to get off the boat. He managed to escape with the help of the sailor whom he befriended when the ship was struck by a hurricane and the ship was destroyed by a storm before they even arrived at the slave markets on the Florida coast. The two of them escaped with a long boat to a small island off the coast.
