Born on April 24, 1973 in Bombay, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is an Indian professional cricket player and considered by many to be one of the greatest batsmen of all time. In 2012, he became the first cricketer to score 100 centuries in international play. He was given his first bat when he was 11 years old and as of 14 years old, he used it to score 329 out of a world record stand of 664 in a school match. He made his debut against Pakistan in Karachi in November 1989 at the age of 16 and 205 days he became India’s youngest Test cricketer. When he was 18, he scored 2 centuries in Australia and scored 179 in 1994 against the West Indies. At the age of 23, he was already made captain of his country’s team.
